About
Hi! My name’s Heather and I have a passion for helping private practice mental health providers achieve their ideal work-life balance. If you’re looking to partner with someone who pays attention to the small details, cares about you and your clients, and ensures that the insurance side of your practice runs smoothly, you’ve come to the right place.
I spent 5 years as a public school teacher and the last 3 years working in healthcare. Between these two careers I’ve gained significant experience in managing systems, tracking data and projects, and applying/working with laws, rules, and regulations. My experience also includes working directly with insurances to process eligibility, authorizations, and appeals. You can also rest assured that your client’s health information will be protected with great intention and detail as I have spent the whole of my career managing protected information per FERPA and HIPAA.

Credentialing with insurance companies can be time consuming and frustrating when you are trying to focus on other parts of your practice. We’ll meet to discuss which insurances you would like to credential with and the information that will be needed for applications. Then, I’ll do the rest.

I’ll makes sure that each client’s benefits have been verified so that both you and your clients know what to expect in terms of copay and coverage for their sessions. I’ll verify benefits regularly so there are no surprises.

No matter what electronic health record platform you use, I’ll submit claims for each session to insurance and follow-up on unpaid claims so that you can focus on being present with clients.

Mental health therapists have to write a variety of letters and forms. From insurance letters for gender affirming care to records requests and release of information forms I can help you create or adjust letters and forms to best suit your needs.
